Going into this program, I expected a routine presentation filled with statistics and legal

warnings. Instead, listening to the speakers tore down any detachment I had. It forced me to sit face-to-face with the raw, devastating human cost of choices made behind the wheel. The pain, guilt, and permanent loss shared by these speakers broke through to me in a way I didn’t anticipate. It made me realize that driving isn't just about following rules to avoid a ticket, it is a profound responsibility to human lives that can be shattered in an instant.

 The amount of gratefulness I have that no one was injured or nothing was damaged has no end.  No matter the level of impairment I “felt” I had that day, the fact is ANY impairment is too much.  The farm roads where my family live aren’t incredibly busy, but obviously after hearing these stories and statistics it’s pretty clear that the road doesn’t have to be a busy one.   When I do get my license reinstated again, I plan on using Sargent Eatons advice and throwing the phone in the glove box.  I fallen victim too much to the glancing of the phone and Ms Weavers experience put the fear of God in me, as well as any impairment on ANY level, the marijuana part was something I didn’t know also.   Despite what happens as an outcome to my legal situation, I’m grateful for your course and taking it.  It’s been a wakeup call that I wish I had sooner.]

Listening to the speakers, hearing about the pain and trauma caused by unsafe driving and seeing the impact these crashes had on families genuinely affected me, especially Ryan’s story.

PADDD changed the way I think about driving by reminding me that even a few seconds of poor judgment can have devastating consequences.

The course was outstanding and compelling, and it would not be a terrible thing if something like this were to become a requirement for license renewals periodically.  I have been driving 40+ years and this is the most exposure to Driver improvement coursework I have experienced since I received my initial license - a lot has changed and there is an overwhelming amount of very persuasive data that could be shared.

Thank you for making this class available! It really did touched me and truly grateful for all the work the PADDD team.
