Positive Alternatives to Dangerous and Destructive Decisions

PADDD develops and implements educational programs that are designed to prevent impaired and unsafe driving. The content is tailored to at risk audiences. Our programs incorporate local law enforcement, the medical field, the funeral services industry, as well as victims and offenders. We offer one of the most comprehensive prevention programs in the state of Maryland, by bringing together the best speakers in the prevention industry. Not from Maryland and need a class? Our classes are now all online and available nationwide.

PADDD Mission

Our mission is to provide the best 'Impaired and Reckless Driving Prevention' classes in the State of Maryland and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic communities, with the sole intent of preventing traumatic injury and death due to motor vehicle crashes.

    You will be watching a recorded class, start and stop as you have time to do the class. You are doing this on your own time. 

    After you sign up you will get a conformation letter with a link to take the online class.

    You will be required to do the following:

    1- Watch the recorded class in 24 hours.

    2- Write up a paper as follows:
    -Name of speaker

    -Key points you learned

    -End paper with how you will change your driving practices, send paper to PADDD@comcast.net

    3- Call when finished to speak with PADDD staff about what you learned. We want to process the information with you and ask you questions about the speakers and content. 

    Start to finish this will take you about 4.5 hours, depending on how long it takes you to do the paper. 

    For this class please send your letter to PADDD@comcast.net and you will get your letter.

         Positive Alternatives to Dangerous and Destructive Decisions (PADDD) is for anyone who needs to attend an educational program that is listed with the alternative sentencing programs for the State of Maryland. PADDD accepts court ordered, as well as lawyer recommended clients who have had traffic violations. The program is a three hour, one time session with a staff that are experts in the field of Emergency Medical Services. We also partner with Law Enforcement, medical professionals, and others involved in injury prevention services. We provide information on crash prevention and the consequences of dangerous and destructive decisions due to poor driving.

    First hour: Introduction & Police

    Second hour: Emergency Medical Technician and/or Paramedic

    Third hour: Nurse or medical professional 

    Fourth: Recovered patient or Family member of a trauma patient & Injury prevention Strategies. 

    This is an online class only!  Instructions will be emailed. You will need a laptop with a camera and microphone, as we will be monitoring you during class to make sure you are attending the full four-hour session.
